Appendant bodies
in NevadaNaturally, Nevada has a full complement of appendant Masonic bodies ...
We have two "Valleys" of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite of Freemasonry - one in Las Vegas and one in Reno. The Valley of Las Vegas meets on the First Thursday (dark July/August), and the Valley of Reno meets on the Second Wednesday (dark July/August).
Several organizations of the York Rite of Freemasonry exist in our state - York Rite is divided into the Chapter of Royal Arch Masons, the Council of Cryptic Masons, and the Commandery of Knights Templar and its lady's auxiliary - the Social Order of the Beauceant. Nevada York Rite Masons now have their own Website.
"The Shrine" - more properly, the Ancient Arabic Order of the Nobles of the Mystic Shrine, is active in Nevada - with Temples in both Las Vegas (Zelzah Temple) and in Reno (Kerak Temple).
The Order of the Eastern Star is well represented by many active ladies in the Silver State, with active chapters throughout the state, and they now have their own web site.
Our youth groups are doing well, with active Chapters of the Order of DeMolay for Boys, Assemblies of the International Order of Rainbow for Girls, and Bethels of Job's Daughters in both North and South. Nevada Rainbow now has their own State Rainbow Web Site - as does the Nevada DeMolay Association and its Reno Chapter ... our Job's Daughters do not yet have their own State of Nevada website, but you can visit Reno Bethel 2's website, Las Vegas Bethel 5's site, or the Job's Daughters national site.
Clan Bannockburn of the Royal Order of Scotland can be found at this site; Kilkenny Chapter of Knight Masons is found at this site; the Masters and Wardens Association of Southern Nevada is here; and for Northern Nevada, the Masters and Wardens Association is here. Chaman Grotto, Mystic Order of Veiled Prophets of the Enchanted Realm has their website here.
