Nevada Masonic Resources
On this page will be found links to a collection of various Masonic Resources. Some of the links are to off-site pages; the Grand Lodge, F.&A.M. of Nevada has no connection with those pages, and merely refers the reader to them as a matter of providing additional information. Some of the pages are articles or papers submitted by members of the Grand Lodge, F.&A.M. of Nevada (which includes all members of Nevada Lodges), some of the pages are articles or papers submitted by non-members. A sincere effort has been made to attribute all submissions to their authors.
M. W. Bill Roberts, PGM, of Tonopah 28, has submitted a paper entitled "Carl Claudy visits Tonopah 28" - Carl H. Claudy was a very prolific Masonic author, and was Executive Secretary of the Masonic Services Association for almost 30 years. Read on - it's an interesting account of Nevada Masonic History!"Planning for your year as Master while serving as Senior Warden", from Richard Zimpfer.
"Worshipful Master's Planner", from Robert Kaltenbach.
Another good resource of this sort can be found at the Grand Lodge of Maine's "Hiram's Handbook" pages.
And, from the team of Zimpfer and Kaltenbach comes the following short-read but very interesting series:
"The Pillars and the Promises" - a research paper delving into the two pillars at the entrance of the Lodge and their promises to man and Masonry ...
"Can the Hiramic Legend be found in the Bible?" ... the title is self-explanatory ... an inquiry into the Legend of Hiram Abiff and its biblical possibilities ...
A Richard Zimpfer presentation entitled "Session Talk", which briefly takes the reader through the three degrees of the Blue Lodge, and through the degrees and orders of the York Rite of Freemasonry, and then on, by a hyperlink at the end of the article, to Robert Kaltenbach's treatise on "The Influence of Religion on Freemasonry".
Richard Zimpfer's paper on "The Crusades" - a short history of the Christian Knights and their activities in the Holy Land ... followed on by another Richard Zimpfer paper entitled "Templar History - The Order Still Lives" ...The Kena Shriners, of Fairfax, Virginia, maintain an excellent collection of Masonic Files (over 4000) and images (over 5000) on their website.
Capstone Productions is a producer of Masonic videos, available on DVD and VHS tape; many are formatted for submission to television stations (and cable systems). Capstone also has the entire lecture by the late John J. Robinson, as given to the Grand Lodge of Missouri, available on three tapes or DVD's, along with a wealth of other information.
A list of Masonic Publishers can be found at Paul Bessel's excellent Masonic Information website.
