Elko
Lodge #15
Elko NV
In the Northeastern corner of Nevada, not far from the Great Salt Desert of Utah, is found our city of Elko.
Located at the former eastern terminus of the Central Pacific Railroad, at the junction of two western overland routes, along the new-fangled telegraph line, and on the Pony Express trail, Elko became the county seat of the newly-formed Elko County in 1869.
Freemasonry came early to the area - with the brethren petioning the Grand Lodge for a dispensation to form a new lodge in 1870 - which dispensation was granted, and the new lodge was constituted in 1871.
Freemasonry has grown steadily in Elko, as in other parts of our fair jurisdiction - and we invite you to tour the building and hall of Elko Lodge #15 by clicking on the thumbnail sketches below.
