Washoe Lodge shares this beautiful building, located at 601 West Peckham Lane in Reno, with Golden Lodge #50.

This beautiful mural, depicting many of our symbols in Masonry, adorns the north wall of Washoe Lodge. The concept given the artist was "depict the view from inside King Solomon's Temple" ... and the artist captured that quite well!

Here's the South wall of the Lodge ... Note the water jug behind and to the left of the Junior Warden's chair ... here's a closer look:

The person named on the water jug, Brother Byron Branson, left Washoe Lodge a significant bequest, which was used to fund the artwork - and that was the way that the Lodge said "Thank you".

Here's the East wall, with the Oriental Chair under a beautiful Square and Compasses.

And, the Senior Warden's station in the West.

Recently, the Lodge discovered the plaque to the right of the Senior Warden's chair gathering dust in the Grand Lodge Museum - it depicts the names and branches of service of those from Washoe Lodge who served in World War II. It was cleaned up and returned to a place of honor in the Lodge.

The artwork on the West, South and East walls was done by Jorge Broullon, who was at that time a friend of a member of the Lodge ... during the course of the painting, which took several months, Jorge petitioned Washoe 35 and took his degrees, and is now a Master Mason. He has now returned to his native Argentina, after living in the U.S. for over 25 years.
